Unchamfered Edges and Laser Burrs
Machine guards, which are intended to protect operators, can end up causing cuts due to sharp micro-burrs left behind by worn laser cutting blades, dull CNC punching dies, or the omission of manual deburring processes.

Misaligned Safety Interlocks

Acoustic Resonance and Weld Fatigue Cracks
Machine Guard acts like a speaker cone, amplifying machine noise and eventually causing cracks in the welds due to high-frequency vibrations. This typically occurs when using thin sheet metal without sufficient stiffeners or when employing brittle MIG welds.
We employ TIG pulse welding technology to achieve superior joint ductility. For high-vibration applications, our engineers integrate V-notched cap grooves or stamped structural ribs to alter the Machine Guard’s natural resonance frequency, thereby eliminating acoustic resonance and weld fatigue.
Coolant Accumulation / Poor Drainage Design
Splashed coolant or oil can accumulate on the bottom flanges or folded edges of Machine Guards, creating slip hazards, unpleasant odors, and causing localized corrosion over time.
The lower trays and structural flanges we design and manufacture feature precise drainage angles (slopes) and pre-punched drainage holes. This ensures that all industrial fluids are efficiently returned to the machine tool’s central coolant sump, maintaining a safe and clean external environment.
